The idea behind Project Solar is simple - leverage the efficiencies of the internet to make solar not just more affordable, but an AMAZING investment as well.
Industry rates (according to the NREL 2020 Quarterly Report) show national solar rates at about $4/watt for under 10 kW, and about $3.50 for 10-100 kW. At Project Solar, our pricing is under $1.50/watt fully installed, and around $1/watt for DIY.
We are the lowest price solar solution in the United States!
Not only are our prices LOW, but we also use the best-of-the-best components. We primarily use Jinko® black-on-black panels, Enphase® micro inverters, and Iron Ridge® racking, all with a 25 year warranty.
The key is efficiency. Having grown adults knocking doors, one-by-one is probably the least efficient way to market your product or service, but it has dominated the industry for over 15 years. It's time we take things online.
But it's not just sales. Massive improvements in engineering software enables us to design and engineer solar builds remotely. Management software, fully integrated into our sales and support teams, enable us to efficiently take the customer through the process of design, engineering, permitting, installation, and inspection with high degree of organization and efficiency.
All these advancements, along with our preference of scale over profits, enable us to dramatically lower costs to the end user.
We believe this is pretty newsworthy and hope you feel the same.
DIY vs Full Install
Our pricing is broken down into 3 options.
Equipment/DIY: This is our standard price that all customers, DIY or Full Service pay. It ranges from $0.90-$1.10/watt. This includes panels, micro inverters, racking equipment, all needed supporting wires, hired electrician for final hook up (so customer never has to deal with live wires), plus full install support.
Full Service: This is an add on option which costs $0.37/watt and is in addition to the equipment price above. We've established partnerships across the nation, with more coming onboard every day. These are win-win relationships that provides an incredibly affordable solution for those not willing or unable to install themselves.
Rooftop Delivery: This is exactly what it sounds like, as surprising as it may be. We've partnered with a company that can deliver all the equipment onto a proprietary rack on top of your roof for $0.05/watt. This makes the DIY process substantially easier. Currently available in CA, AZ, NV, UT, TX, and parts of FL.
